So, the HOA annual meeting was on Monday evening. Are you sitting down? Out of 171 homeowners in our community only 22 bothered to cast their ballots. Which means, obviously, not a majority vote. What does that mean for me? I have to wait until a board meeting happens, and hopefully there will be a quorum present, then I can be "appointed" to the board. What an apathetic society we live in. Where is the love people? It just made me think of another funny movie from my youth.

I am sorry that you have to deal with an HOA at all! I used to go to the meetings, but when I voiced my opinion, they ignored me. When I had an idea on how to save money, they ignored me. So, I was voted into the HOA with a huge majority vote... they changed the times and the meetings from month to month until I had missed enough meetings that they kicked me off. So when it comes to apathy, who is at fault there?
I think though that you night be better than anyone on our board, they are a joke...
